Pienza, built specifically for Pope Pius II, is an example of the Renaissance ideal of a perfect city and only a 15 minute drive.	Foiano della Chiana is located a few miles from Sinalunga along the train route to Arezzo.	The Etruscan hilltown of Cortona, with its beautiful medieval and Renaissance palazzos, is a short drive away.
Tired of hilltowns? Lago Trasimeno, Italy's fourth largest lake, provides a pleasant change of scenery.	Going in the direction of Siena you can visit Asciano and the nearby Abbey of the Monte Oliveto Maggiore.	And there is of course the beautiful countryside.

Siena is a one of a kind gem set amongst verdant rolling hills, crowned by a black and white striped cathedral and crisscrossed by steep and narrow streets. Whether circling the piazza del campo - home to the famous horse race- or admiring the panoramas offered by the cathedral and the palazzo pubblico, every moment will be a feast for the eyes.
